Delivering a speech on the Lions Club International Speak Out Contest theme of Strengthen Your Pride, the junior and senior competitors spoke for 5-7 minute on their views on civic pride and world community action. Always together in their work, the Lions Club members welcomed the students and spent a great deal of time talking with each of them. Winning the contest and representing Vergennes Lions at the state competition in March is junior Emily Martin
