Two Brothers Tavern Named Business Of The Month

Tuesday February 6, 2007

Darcy Tarte, Chair of the Addison County Chamber of Commerce's Publicity and Promotions Committee is pleased to announce that the February 2007 Business of the Month award recipient is Two Brothers Tavern in Middlebury.

Two Brothers Tavern was opened in October 2002 by Holmes Jacobs, his wife Megan Brady, and his brother Beal Jacobs.  Since its inception, Two Brothers Tavern has become a favorite among locals, students and visitors alike for their award-winning cuisine, live entertainment and welcoming atmosphere.  Charismatic, conversation-filled and family run, Two Brothers Tavern is proud to call Middlebury and Addison County it's home.

Two Brothers Tavern prides themselves on giving back to the community which has given so much to them.  They do this in several ways, most notably through their Charity Mondays Program.  The fist Monday of every month Two Brothers Tavern donates 10% of its total proceeds to local charities and non-profit groups such as the Addison County Counseling Service, the United Way, the Addison County Community Action Group, American Diabetes Association, Porter Hospital and many, many more.  Two Brothers Tavern feels that giving back to those in need is part of its duty in being responsible citizens and good neighbors.

In addition to their generosity in helping the community, Two Brothers Tavern also offers many fun promotional programs such as their frequent dining program.  For every $100.00 purchased, members of the frequent diner program receive a $15.00 coupon plus special discounts on birthday and anniversary meals.  These coupons are earned with dine-ins, take-out, and deliveriy.  There are no black out dates and no fee to enter.  They also offer many special events over the course of the year including free live, local entertainment every week.  For example, there will be two bands playing at the Tavern this Saint Patrick's Day, Saturday, March 17th, starting at 10:00 a.m.  In keeping with the Irish theme, the ceiling of Two Brothers Tavern is covered with dollar bills. Irish tradition says that before sailors left for sea they put a dollar on the ceiling to ensure their safe return.  Upon arrival home, should they find themselves unable to pay their tab, they were welcome to take back their dollar.

Two Brothers Tavern is open Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.  The Addison County Chamber of Commerce is proud to have Two Brothers Tavern as a member and congratulates them on being chosen as the February Business of the Month.
