Anna “Annabelle” Palmer

EAST RANDOLPH/BRISTOL-Anna “Annabelle” Palmer, 55, passed away quietly surrounded by family and friends on November 9, 2006.

   She was born in Bristol, CT on December 28, 1950 daughter of Frank and Ruth Manila.

   She moved to Bristol, VT in 1978 where she later met and married the love of her life Michael Palmer in 1983.

   Her many joys included toll painting, swedish weaving, camping, canoeing, gardening, reading and her family.

   There’s no way to describe the size of her heart or the love she gave to all who knew her. Her bright eyes and shining smile will be missed more than words can say.

   She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ruth Manila and sister Connie Katzer.

   She is survived by her best friend and husband Michael, son Brett Combs& wife Tracy, daughter Christi Palmer & special friend Brandon Pelerin, daughter Michaela & husband Eric Bushey. Her sister Beth Goulet, brothers John Timms and Tad Manila. Brothers in law George & wife Sylvia Palmer, Robert Palmer, Dan Palmer & friend Jan, sisters in law Rae & husband Bill Paine, Sharon Palmer & friend Roger Paquette & special niece Kris “Cricket” Phil Smith.

   Most importantly her greatest joys in life her grandchildren, Ty & Sierra Combs, Sydney Pelerin & Jordan & Dylan Bushey.

   Funeral services were held  on Tuesday November 14th at United Church of Lincoln. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society 121 Connor Way Williston, VT, or Addison County Home Health & Hospice Route 7 Middlebury, VT 05753.

 

Randall “Randy” S. Steady Jr.

Ferrisburgh - Randall “Randy” S. Steady Jr. died Wednesday November 15, 2006 in Ferrisburgh, VT after a brave fight with ALS, surrounded by his family and friends.

    Born in Burlington October 29, 1946, Randy was a loving son of Randall and Pauline (Muzzy) Steady of Ferrisburgh.

    Randy graduated from Vergennes Union High school with the class of 1965 and served in the Vermont Army National Guard for six years.

    Owner and operator of Steady Transport for over twenty five years and millions of miles. Along with his love of trucks, Randy enjoyed backroading with all of his family and friends. Also looking for antique cockshutt tractors as well as attending and hosting antique tractor pulls, also being in the many hay fields, Sunday Nascar, and reading.

    Randy is survived by his loving wife and partner Robin (Hoag) Steady. Daughters Stacey Steady & John Sherwin of Swanton, Robin & Jeff Frazier of Brandon, Paulette & Jim Holbritter of Ephrata, PA, SueEllen Steady and Jamie Lancour of Florence, VT. The girls Mom Theresa Steady of Proctor & our addition’s Josh & Ryan of  Ferrisburgh. Seven beautiful grandchildren Brittanny & Emily, Colby & Jessica, Hannah, Bryce & Brendan and Baby Lancour due in February. Randy also leaves two sisters and two brothers, Irene Steady and partner Burt White, Cory & Michele Steady, & Rodney Steady all of Ferrisburgh. Sharon & Roger Pryor of Oceanside, Calif. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers & sisters in laws & mother in law Marlene Hoag.

    Randy never met a stranger and always loved a full house.

    A memorial service was held on Saturday November 18th at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vergennes. Interment will be at a later date. There were no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Addison County Home Health Care & Hospice Route 7 Middlebury, VT 05753, or ALS Association of VT/NH, The Concord Center, 10 Ferry St., Suite 438, Box 314, Concord, NH 03301.

    A special thank you to all of our friends, customers, and drivers for their patience and understanding and who have gone the extra mile to help our family through this very difficult time.
