Mark  John Therrien

BRANDON/SHOREHAM-Mark John Therrien, age 47 passed away Friday October 27, 2006 in Brandon.  Mark was born in Newport, VT November 28, 1958 the son of Rolland Joseph and Jeanette (Desautel) Therrien. Mark was married to Sandra Woods, July 29, 1978. She predeceased Mark August 12, 2006

   Mark loved woodworking and was employed by Hirschman’s LTD in West Rutland. Prior  to working for Hirschman’s he worked for New England Woodcraft in Forest Dale.

   Marked loved the outdoors and was a Motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed fishing.

   Most of all, Mark loved his family.

He is survived by his mother, Jeannette Ezzo of W.Rutland, his two daughters,  Bobbie Jo Therrien of Ferrisburgh, Charity and her husband David and their son, Isaac Eastman  of  Leicester, his five sisters, Theresa Martinez of Herford, AZ, Doris Therrien of Chittenden, Ann Bissette of Brandon, Tania Ezzo of W.Rutland and Celeste Lear of Rutland.; His three brothers, Peter Therrien of Brandon, James “Jim” Therrien of Rutland and Andrew “Andy” Therrien of Rhode Island. Also surviving are many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and cousins.

   He is predeceased by his Father Rolland and his Brother Francis Therrien.

    A Mass of Christian burial celebrating his life will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM in St. Mary Catholic Church, Brandon. Celebrant will be the Rev. Albert “Skip”Baltz, Pastor.

   Graveside committal services and interment will take place in the North Clarendon  Cemetery on Saturday November 4th,  Memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Therrien Memorial Fund, c/o Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home, 26 Franklin St. Brandon, VT 05733

Gerald H. Senesac

 

VERGENNES- Gerald H. Senesac, 89, of Vergennes,  died at Fletcher Allen Hospital on October 29, 2006, after a brief illness.

   Gerald was born in West Addison on November 5, 1916. He was the son of Jacques and Alida (Choiniere) Senesac.

   He attended Potash Bay and Vergennes schools. He graduated from Hemphill Diesel School in Boston, Ma.

   Gerry was brought up on his parents’ farm and later owned his own dairy farm in West Addison. In 1946 he owned and operated his own service station in Waterbury, Vt. He later worked for Colonial Motors in Burlington. He came to Vergennes in 1955 and worked for his brother Levi as a service manager at Senesac Ford Sales.  In 1981, he retired from Miller Chevrolet. Upon retirement he worked for St. Peter’s Parish in Vergennes helping to maintain the buildings and grounds.

   He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie (McCormick) Senesac of Vergennes. He leaves five children: daughter Kathleen Douglas of Vergennes, and her 3 children Michelle Chamberlain and husband Todd, Michael Douglas, Matthew Douglas and wife Stephanie; son Gerry and wife Suzanne of Colchester and their son Joel; daughter Mary Thal and her husband Ray and children Elizabeth and Raymond of Denver, Colorado;  his son David and wife Denise of Ferrisburgh, and their sons Brian and Dan Crossman; and son Dennis and his wife Jeanne of Waltham, and children Hilary, Hayden, Nicholas, Harrison, and Lucas.  He was also blessed with great-grandchildren Grace and A.J. Chamberlain. He is also survived by his sisters, Genevieve Houle of Burlington and Jeanne Jackman of Vergennes and brothers Levi Senesac of    

          He loved cooking, and was well known for his cookies, doughnuts, bran muffins and banana bread. Gerry loved to tell stories of horses, tractors, and everyday life on the farm. The warmth of his smile and personality will be greatly missed.

          He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted member of St. Peter’s Parish. He lived his Catholic faith with hard work and dedication to family.

          A Mass of Christian Burial wias  celebrated Thursday, Nov. 2nd  at  at St Peter’s Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in St Peter’s Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Peter’s Restoration Fund.

Ronald D. Epstein

 

Vergennes - Ronald D. Epstein died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at his home in Vergennes.  He was born on October 11, 1961 in Dover, NJ.

    Ron graduated from Vergennes High School in 1980.   He attended Lyndon State College and completed his BA in education from the University of Vermont.  He received his master’s degree in education from the College of St. Joseph and a certificate of advanced graduate studies from the University of Vermont.

    Ron began his teaching career at Bridport Central School; he was a teaching principal at Winhall Elementary School and also taught at Dorset Elementary.  For the past ten years Ron taught grades 5 and 6 at Mary Hogan Elementary School in Middlebury.

    Ron is survived by his wife, Jan, his two children, Colby and Betsy, his mother, Joan Wilson Moureau; father Richard Epstein, sister Kathy Barrows and her husband Steve; brother Ken Epstein and his wife Ginger; sister Karen Clifford; brother John and his wife Laura Epstein; sister Barbara Blakely and husband Mike.  Mother Lucille and Father Terrance Evarts and sisters, Kelly Chambers and husband Brian; Kristine Evarts; Bridget Evarts and Karena Evarts.   His grandparents, Ginny and Jim Wilson passed away several years ago.  Ron is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

    Ron’s joys in life were his children Colby and Betsy.  He loved teaching and working with children and the educational community, working at the Evarts farm and at his home.

    A public memorial service will be held at Mary Hogan Elementary School at a later date.

    In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to an educational trust for Colby and Betsy Epstein in care of the Lyndon Bank, P.O. Box 38, Vergennes, Vermont.

    Special thanks to Porter Hospital and Central Vermont Hospital for the loving care given to Ron.
