John H. Young JR.

SHOREHAM- John H. Young, Jr.,73, died Sunday, October 22,2006 at Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, following a period of failing health.

      Born in Rutland September 1, 1933, he was the son of the late John H., Sr. and Mildred (Tiffts) Young

      John was educated in Rutland and for 37 years worked as a cost accountant at Howe-Richardson Scale Works in Rutland and for 19 years as a substitute rural mail carrier in Middlebury.

   John was a veteran of the United States Army.

   Family members include his wife, Ellen (Burgess) Goss Young of Shoreham; children, Patricia Goss Littlefield and her husband Thomas of Deltona, FL, Dale Ward Goss and wife Lori of Lebanon, OH, Betsy Goss Hedley of Middlebury, Ronald J. Goss and wife Gloria of Fairfield, CA, Amy Goss Venables and husband Brian of Oviedo, FL, Lawrence Walter Goss and wife Alisa of Wheaton, IL; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Olive Courcelle of Athens, GA and Sharon Lorman of West Rutland and brother Gerald Young of Rutland; several nieces and nephews.

     In addition he was predeceased by one sister, Ruthie and one granddaughter, Christa Goss.

     A Mass of Christian burial were celebrated  on Saturday Oct, 28, 2006  at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, Route 22 A, Shoreham with Rev. Justin Baker as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Middlebury West Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made St. Genevieve Women’s Guild, to be used for youth smoking prevention education, c/o Phyllis Allen, P.O. Box  97, Shoreham, VT 05770.

Ada Wilcox Moulton

VERGENNES-Mrs. Ada Wilcox Moulton, 87, past away Friday, October 20, 2006 at Vergennes Residential Care in Vergennes.

    She was born May 15, 1919 in Cornwall the daughter of the late Elmer & Flora (Bull) Wilcox. She married her loving husband Gerald Heman Moulton Sr. on June 12, 1937 he predeceased her on November 19, 1974.

    Ada is survived by her two daughters, Doris Giard, of Bridport, Cynthia Moulton, of Phoenix Az, her two sons, Elmer Moulton & his wife Elaine, of New York, Leo Moulton Sr. & his wife, Debi, of Middlebury, by his two daughter-in-laws, Virginia Moulton, of Bridport and Linda Moulton, of Bridport, her 18 grandchildren, her 20 great-grandchildren and her 2 great great-grandchildren whom they called her “GG”, also by her sister, Eva Betourney, of Middlebury and numerous nieces  & nephews.

   She was predeceased by her husband, her 2 sons, Searle (Al) Moulton, & Gerald               ( Happy)  Moulton Jr. her 2 sisters, Anna & Ruth also by her 4 brothers, Seeley, George, Leo & Philip.

   The family wishes to thank her extended family at Vergennes Residential Care Home for giving her a loving & caring home these last 2 years, you felt the same pain we felt when she left us, sharing stories & tears with us her last week here. God Bless You All.

   Visiting hours will be held on Friday October 27, 2006 from 4-7 PM at Sanderson Funeral Service located at 117 south main street, Middlebury.

   Graveside services will be held on Saturday October 28, 2006 at 11 AM at Cornwall Central Cemetery on RT 30 in Cornwall.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Addison County Home Health & Hospice @ p.o. box 754 Middlebury VT 05753 or to the Vergennes Residential Care 34 north St, Vergennes, VT 05491

   Arrangements are under the direction of Sanderson Funeral Service.
