Obituaries 10-24-06 Jeanne P. PorterWilliston- Jeanne P. Porter, 83 died Saturday October 14, 2006 at Vermont Respite House in Williston. She was born June 30, 1923 in Hartford, VT the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Barrows) Phelps. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Porter and a sister Virginia Gile. The family would like to thank the Vermont Respite House for the kindness and care they provided for Jeanne. Jeanne is survived by a brother, Kenneth and Ada Phelps of Manlius, NY; a sister in law, Juanita Blair of Vergennes; three sons, Robert and Jan Porter and family of Ferrisburgh; Thomas Porter and family of Amherst, Mass; and Stuart and Donna Porter and family of Jericho; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service was held on Sunday October 22nd at Bristol Federated Church. Interment will be at a later date. There were no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vermont Respite House 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495. Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in charge of arrangements.
