On Wednesday, the Vergennes boys played a tough game against Milton High School. Milton started the game off strong, scoring in the first six minutes. The Commodores were able to hold them off for a while, but with 28 minutes left hin the half the Yellowjackets scored again.

The remainder of the half was scoreless. Milton did not waste any time in the second half. They scored in the first 3 minutes, making the score 3-0, Yellowjackets.

Milton would score twice more in the game, shutting out the Vergennes Commodores. The final score was 5-0.

The next day, the Vergennes girls had a very different game. They played against Green Mountain Valley School. The first goal was scored in the first five minutes. It was unclear who scored, unfortunately. With 26 minutes left in the half, Commodore junior Abby Benton scored the second goal of the game. 15 minutes later, senior Heather Paquette made the score 3-0, Vergennes.

In the second half, Abby Benton scored with 34 minutes left in the game. The remainder of the game went scoreless. The final score was 4-0. Both Vergennes teams and their opponents played well and should be proud.
