Barbara Mae Raymond

Bristol - Barbara Mae Raymond, 50, died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

She was born on September 21, 1955 in Middlebury the daughter of Herbert and Rita (Booska) Freegard.

Barbara married Melvin Raymond on February 14, 1974.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years Melvin Raymond of Bristol, four step children, Ricky and Lynne (Chantis) Raymond of Essex; Russell Raymond of Colorado; Richard Raymond of Cambridge; Rabin Raymond of Washington DC; brother Michael and Norma Freegard and their children Shawn, Mike Jr., and Christina Freegard; two sisters Sandra Garria and Keith and their children Billy Freegard, Denise, Lynn, and Danny Garcia; Betty and Bill Clark and their son Cody; special nieces and nephews Michelle, Amy Jo, Jesse, Dakota, Paige, Marissa, Domnick, Brandon, Stephanie, Candi, Nicholas and Kitty.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 14, at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.  Contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, Bristol 05443 or Fletcher Allen Health Care ICU, Burlington 05401.

EVELYN MARIE ORVIS

Rutland / Tempe, AZ - Evelyn Marie Orvis, 87, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Westchester Care Center in Tempe, AZ.

She was born on May 23, 1919 in Starksboro the daughter of James E. and Zelpha (Monroe) Stokes.

Evelyn retired from Vermont Marble Co. in Proctor.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Don and Nancy Orvis of Tempe, AZ and Lee and Lorraine Orvis of Murrells Inlet, SC. Five grandchildren, four great grandsons, brother Sheldon Stokes of NH. two sisters Bea Santerre of Bristol, Lu Bobar of Springfield several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday July 15 at Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Contributions may be made to Westchester Care Center, 6100 S Rural Road, Tempe, AZ 85283

Marjorie E. Bristol

Vergennes - Marjorie E. Bristol, 84, died Friday, July 14, 2006 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.

She was born on September 2, 1921 in New Haven Mills the daughter of Marshall and Carrie (Hurlbert) Broughton.

Marjorie had a community care home for many years.

She is survived by a daughter Shirley LaFleche of Moriah, NY. three grandchildren David LaFleche Sr., Diane LaFleche, Lisa Sargent; eight great grandchildren, a great great grandson. Marjorie was predeceased by a son Franklin Carpenter.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday July 18 at St Peter’s Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in Lake View Cemetery in West Addison. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 121 Connor Way, Suite 240, PO Box 1460, Williston, VT 05495 Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes in charge of arrangements.

Jean N. DeVoid

Bristol-  Jean N DeVoid, 70, died Friday, July 14,2006 at her home in Bristol.

She was born on July 16, 1935 in Burlington the daughter of Ramond D and Bertha M. Baker.

Jean married Leo DeVoid December 24, 1955.

She is survived by her husband Leo DeVoid of Bristol; four children; Rickey Lee DeVoid, Nancy James, Donald Leo DeVoid and Clyde DeVoid all of Bristol; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by a brother Donald R Baker.

Funeral services were held Tuesday July 18 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. Contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad, Bristol 05443 or Addison County Home Health and Hospice, Middlebury 05753.
