Dayton L. LaRose Jr.

Bristol- Dayton L. LaRose Jr. 51 died unexpectedly May 14, 2006 at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

He was born August 10, 1954 in Burlington the son of Dayton and Violet (Bedell) LaRose Sr.

Dayton is survived by seven children, Shannon LaRose of Burlington; Shawn Dufresne of Bridport; Jennifer LaRose of Vergennes; Jessica LaRose of Winooski; Joshua LaRose of Burlington; Erica LaRose of Danbury, Conn.; Cody LaRose of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Gary LaRose of Bristol; Leo LaRose of Pennsylvania; Dennis LaRose and Kelly LaRose both of Tennessee; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held on May 18th at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery in Huntington. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association Vermont Affiliate 434 Hurricane Lane Williston, VT 05495.

Christine Towne-Lattrell

Vergennes-  Christine Towne-Lattrell 46 joined the angels in flight on May 17, 2006 after a brave battle with cancer.

Christine was born June 5, 1959 in Ticonderoga, NY.

She is survived by her mother Joan Lattrell, her love of sixteen years Allen Cram and his children and grandchildren, her sisters Lisa Kleinfeldt and her husband Jonah and Christine Laflam and her husband Todd, her brother Mike Thompson and his wife Nardy, her nieces Shyla Lattrell, Courtney Jerome and Tori Thompson and her nephews Tyler Jerome Laflam and Dawson Kleinfeldt.

She is predeceased by her step father Leon Lattrell.

Christine was an angel here on earth always with a warm loving smile and a big belly laugh to brighten up any day. She was a lover of animals, especially her dog Holly, and bird Woody. Christine had a happy go lucky view of the world, always seeing the best in everyone. She will be forever loved and dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 24th  at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery. Please make any contributions to your local humane society, or Addison County Humane Society Shelter Boardman Street, Middlebury, VT 05753.

Robert Floyd Atkins

Lincoln- Robert Floyd Atkins, 65 died Wednesday May 17, 2006 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington after a long battle with diabetes.

He was born November 18, 1940 in Lincoln the son of Floyd and Anna (Tatro) Atkins.

He graduated from Bristol High School in 1958; he joined the Army serving three years where he served in the Berlin Crisis. Robert married his devoted wife of forty two years Betty Curavoo. He worked as a tree climber for New England Tree Expert, and then worked for Pizzagalli Construction until his retirement.

His family and friends will fondly remember him for his love of the outdoors. Snowmobiling with his son Mark and four wheeling with his nephews Mike and Bill and their children. He also enjoyed being with his two granddaughters, nieces and nephews making them laugh.

Many thanks to the drivers who took him up to dialysis especially Carl Reynolds who he became fond of.

Robert is survived by his wife Betty Jean Atkins of Lincoln. A son Mark A. Atkins and his wife Stephanie of Lincoln, two granddaughters Alexis and Brooke, a sister Margaret and Milton Smith of  North Carolina, several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Charles Atkins in 1972.

Funeral services were on Saturday May 20th at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery in Lincoln at a later date. Contributions may be made to Addison County Transit Resources 282 Boardman St. Middlebury, VT 05753.
