George W. Apgar Jr.

New Haven— George W. Apgar Jr. 76, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

 He was born on August 24, 1929 in Elizabeth, NJ. the son of George W. and Georgiana (Williams) Apgar Sr.

George married his wife Kathleen Wilson in 1950 and moved to Vermont in 1972 from New Jersey.

George was a member of the New Haven Fire Dept., Bristol Masons Libanus Lodge #47 F&AM, and Bristol Rotary. He held many New Haven town offices.

George owned and operated the Park Filling Station in Bristol until 1986. He then help his wife Kathleen run the Apgar Co0mmunity Care Home in New Haven.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Kathleen Apgar of New Haven, ten children George S and Kathi Apgar of New Haven, Ruth Peterson of CA., Sharon and Tom Pawlick of IL., James and Mary Apgar of Lincoln, Heather and Patrick Little of FL., Jon and Patti Apgar of New Haven, Clara and Peter Funk of Middlebury, Patricia and Kevin Hanson of Bristol, Thomas and Tommie Apgar of NC., Katy and Mick Holler of Addison, 23 grandchildren, two great grandchildren. George was predeceased by a son Harvey in 1976.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 29 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment was be in Evergreen Cemetery in New Haven. Contributions may be made to the New Haven Fire Dept, New Haven 05472 or the Helen Porter Nursing Home Middlebury 05753.

Timothy Robert Danyow

Vergennes— Timothy Robert Danyow, 57, died Friday, April 14, 2006 in Elloree, South Carolina.

He was born on May 15, 1948 in Burlington the son of Robert D. and Eleanor (LaFlam) Danyow.

Tim was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Vergennes. He gradated from Vergennes Union High School in 1967. Tim loved showing Morgan horses with his father and sister. In later years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and collecting vintage automobiles.

Tim is survived by his companion Virginia Williams of SC, daughter Tanya, mother Eleanor Danyow of Vergennes, sister, Tamar R Burnham and fiancé Mark Begley of Weybridge, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Tim’s father Robert D. Danyow died on January 17, 2006.

Memorial services were  held Thursday, April 27 at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Interment will be at a later date.
