Porter Hospital “North Project” Work In Progress

   Construction crews are continuing their work on Porter Hospital's “North Project”.  The project includes reconstruction and modernization of the Department of Surgery, The creation of the community's first Birthing Center and the project carries with it the over all goal of renovating and improving every major patient care area of Porter Medical Center that began with a series of projects in 1992 with the opening of Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.  “The $16 million project will involve the construction or renovation of more than 30,000 square feet of building and will position Porter Hospital to provide the  state-of-the-art facilities, technology and services that our community needs, expects and deserves,” according to Porter Medical Center's President James L. Daley.
