Local V.F.W. Post To Partner With Dog Team Tavern
Post #7823 will offer newly expanded meeting and banquet services

It is a well positioned event facility here in Addison County and perhaps one of the area's best kept secrets. But the word is getting out from many satisfied customers. The V.F.W. Post 7823 banquet hall is an excellent place to rent for your next event and it's about to get even better according to Post Commander, Bub Crosby. "We are discussing more extensive utilization of the facility. We can accommodate up to 250 people comfortably in a nice atmosphere. The parking is excellent and now we are about to add a new service thanks to The Dog Team Tavern and Dog Team Catering," he explained during a recent interview.
The V.F.W. will be available for catered and uncatered events, from a business meeting to a wedding reception or reunion.
Adding the catering services of The Dog Team Tavern will increase substantially the variety of events that the V.F.W. Post can now host.
"We're excited, this is a great opportunity for us, The Dog Team and the folks who will be booking their upcoming events with us. It also gives us another excellent opportunity to continue the V.F.W.'s continuing commitment to serving the community" Bub explained.
The V.F.W. has a longstanding tradition of helping to fund worthwhile community projects. This new venture by Post #7823 will help to raise more money for future projects.
Potential for the facility has manifest itself in many tangible ways even before the deal with The Dog Team was struck.
Monday night Bingo at the V.F.W. has been a resounding success and has spawned a large and loyal following.
The monthly buffet breakfasts have also generated good numbers and rave reviews from patrons. "Any thing is possible, there are no limits to community commitment really,'"Bub says as the plans continue to fall in place for the marketing phase of the new project.
