American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 27 President Marcy DeGray and other members of the unit presented Middlebury Relay for Life Co-President Kathryn Bullen and Team Recruitment Chair Jack Daly a check for $ 1,000.00 toward their Saturday, April 28th fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. This marks the tenth consecutive year that Legion Auxiliary Unit# 27 has offered support to assist the local chapter of the American Cancer Society in its race to find a cure. Relay for Life Co-President Kathryn Bullen accepted the check and thanked the Middlebury Legion Auxiliary for their ongoing support. Currently expecting about 250 participants, the Relay for Life Teams are attempting to exceed last year’s total raised of $ 56,000. Legion Auxiliary Unit # 27 in Middlebury was founded in 1923 and is active year-round in fundraising activities and in assisting American Legion Post # 27 with projects during the year.
