County Tire Continues Their 20 Year Partnership With Hannaford Career Center

Recently, the National Technical Honor Society recognized County Tire Center Inc. for their countless hours of outstanding service to the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center. Owners Steve and Lisa  accepted a well deserved membership into The National Technical Honor Society at an induction ceremony for students here in Middlebury.   
    In an industry where technology changes almost daily with amazing speed and complexity, Steve  and Lisa Dupoise the owners of County Tire Center Inc. in Middlebury make sure that they continue to keep pace with 21st Century automotive technology.  
    Being prepared for changes in the automotive field is the key and that demands a dedication to technical education for their employees who do the work under the car in the garage.  The business also has been a leader in training future automotive technicians.  Many of these young, local and talented technicians of tomorrow have been mentored by the Middlebury business since the time they were in high school at the Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center.
    Literally thousands of hours later, Hannaford student techs have combined on-the-job training with class-room curriculum and are ready to join a skilled labor force in dire need of their particular knowledge and practical experience on the job.
    As one respected auto racing mechanic once told this reporter many years ago. 'They all look good in the showroom.  The trick is to keep them running to the satisfaction of he owner throughout the life of the vehicle.'  More and more digital electronics for example creates a unique challenge that demands the kind of mentor-ship that County Tire embraces with enthusiasm while working with their student techs from Hannaford.
