Patricia A Hannaford Students Earn National Technical Honor Society Membership

In an ever expanding, technology driven, global society, students at Patricia A. Hannaford Career Center in Middlebury have demonstrated that they are ready and willing to meet those challenges.
On Tuesday evening March 27th 2018, 36-new members were inducted into NTHS.
    The students represented the school's twelve technical and six foundational programs including Design and Illustration, Diesel Power Technology, Medical Professions, Culinary Arts, Engineering, Sustainable Agriculture, Automotive Technology, Addison Repertory Theater, Industrial Design and Fabrication and Natural Resource Management.  The students attended Middlebury Union High School, Mt. Abraham Union High School, Vergennes Union High School and Home Schooling.
    This year's honorees in alphabetical include: Lydia Alberts Design and Illustration MUHS, Jordan Allen Diesel Power Technology MUHS, Lindsey Armell Medical Professions MAUH, Anna Browdy Design and illustration HOME, Elizabeth Chamberlain Culinary MUHS, Benjamin Clark Engineering VUHS, Ben Collaro Culinary MAUHS, Duncan Crogan Engineering MUHS, Dylan Disorda Diesel Power Technology MUHS, Cody Devries Sustainable Agriculture VUHS, Derek Felkl Automotive Technology MUHS, Eden Ginsburg Addison Repertory Theater MAUHS, Jacob Gonyeau Engineering VUHS, Jameson Haggett Engineering VUHS, Samuel Hodges Engineering MUHS, Emily Jackson Sustainable Agriculture VUHS, Althea Kane Design & Illustration MAUHS, Peter Koening Culinary MAUHS, Erin Lawrence Design & Illustration VUHS, Sophie Lefkoe Addison Repertory Theater MUHS, Lucas Livingston Natural Tesource Mgmt MAUHS, Takiumi Melchior Addison Repertory Theater MAUHS, (Greta) Rose Meyer Addison Repertory Theater MAUHS, Nico Gori-Montanelli Design & Illustration MAUHS, Dana Norton Addison Repertory Theater MAUHS,  Joseph Norton Industrial Design MAUHS, Nicole Palmer Design & Illustration MUHS, Abigail Perlee Engineering MAUHS, Hailey Quenneville Culinary MUHS, Meilena Sanchez Design & Illustration MUHS, Ruth Simpson Culinary MUHS, Madeline Smith Addison Repertory Theater VUHS, Jack Waterman Engineering MUHS, Kalah Welch Medical Professions HOME, Cedar Winslow Design & Illustration VUHS and  Daniel Wisell Engineering MUHS.  Each student received an NTHS ceremonial pin, cord and plaque and were congratulated by a gathering of faculty, friends and family at the MUHS Auditorium.   
    Community partners County Tire Center and University of Vermont Porter Medical Center and Porter Health and Rehabilitation Center were also Honorary Inductees for their thousands of hours of on site student training, mentoring and paid employment for Hannaford Students over the years.
    Brenda Logee NTHS Advisor explained the significance of the National Technical Honor Society and that students who take the NTHS Pledge promise to “maintain the highest standard of personal conduct.
Continue a record of scholastic achievement, strive for excellence and uphold obligations as a citizen of one's community and country.”
    Seven lighted candles at the awards table represented Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship and Leadership.  The Voice congratulates each inductee and wishes them well as their careers progress.
