Nancy M. Waslick

Nancy M. Waslick died peacefully on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her home on Fern Lake, surrounded by her family.
    Nancy and her husband moved to Middlebury in 1982 and in 2000, moved permanently to their home on Fern Lake. Born on March 21, 1941 in Lock Haven, PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Dr. Charles and Mrs. Dorothy Markel. She attended Lock Haven High School and Lock Haven State Teachers College. Nancy worked as a caregiver for many years at Elderly Services in Middlebury.
    Nancy is survived by her husband Bill Waslick and her three children: son Mark Waslick of Middlebury, VT, daughter Nancy Waslick of Warwick, RI and daughter June Kaufmann and her husband Eric of Weybridge, VT, as well as four grandchildren: Katie Waslick and William Niles of Warwick, RI and Trey Kaufmann and Mason Kaufmann of Weybridge, VT. She is also survived by a sister Frances Knott and her partner Rodger Cook of Montoursville, PA and two brothers: Craig and his wife Ann of Moorestown, NJ, and Charlie and his wife Linda of Traveler’s Rest, SC. She is also survived by a brother-in-law Robert Waslick and his wife Carole Lee of Wilmington, DE, as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Visiting hour were held on Saturday January 27 at Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home in Middlebury  followed by a service. Burial will take place at a later date in Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Nancy’s memory to Addison County Home Health and Hospice or Elderly Services in Middlebury.
    The family would like to thank the staff at Addison County Home Health and Hospice, UVM Medical Center, Dr. Paul Unger and staff and a special thank you to loyal family friend, Dr. Stephen Leffler, Chief Medical Officer, UVM Medical Center, for his advice and support.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.
