Robert Michael LaFountain

Weybridge: Robert Michael LaFountain 39, died unexpectedly Sunday June 11, 2017 in Marlborough, MA.
    He was born June 18, 1977 in Middlebury the son of Michael Joseph LaFountain and Patricia Levarn.
    Robert was a dishwasher at Middlebury College. He enjoyed fishing and playing pool.
He is survived by his father Michael LaFountain, his mother Patricia Levarn, by his children, Brianna, Ashley, Robert Jr., Dillon and Merlin, by his two brothers Michael Justin LaFountain and Brian Paul LaFountain, by his paternal grandmother Patricia LaFountain and his maternal grandmother Mary Levarn and also by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
    He was predeceased by his daughter Desiree and his paternal grandfather Robert J. LaFountain and his maternal grandfather Charles Levarn .
    Funeral services were held on Thursday June 22, 2017 at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home, located at 117 South Main Street, Middlebury.
Burial followed in Weybridge Cemetery.

Edward Anthony Zawistowski

WEYBRIDGE: Edward Anthony Zawistowski, age 86, passed away on Thursday, June 08, 2017, surrounded by his family, at his home in Weybridge.
    Ed was born in West Rutland, on August 3, 1930. He was the son of Anthony and Stephania (Kurant) Zawistowski. He was a graduate of West Rutland High School and of Michigan College of Pharmacy in Ann Arbor, MI. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until his honorable discharge in 1955. He had worked as a Pharmacist in Rutland before moving to Middlebury. In 1962 he began a position in Pharmacy with Vermont Drug, Inc. He was a past president of the State of Vermont Board of Pharmacy appointed by then Governor Deane Davis. In 1981 he was named by the Vermont Pharmaceutical Association as the recipient of the A.H. Robins Bowl of Hygeia Award. He was then the owner of Vermont Drug, Inc. Rexall Drug Store in Middlebury. He was a member of Middlebury Down Town Business Association. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, where he taught religious education classes. He had served on St. Mary’s Parish Council and Stewardship Committee. He was a life member and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus in Middlebury. He had served as a professional advisor to the board of Addison County Home Health & Hospice. He retired at the age of 78 after working as a Pharmacist for 56 years.
    Surviving is his wife; Joyce F. Zawistowski of Weybridge; whom he married June 3, 1967; a son; Mark Zawistowski & his wife Heather of Middlebury, a sister-in-law; Mary Zawistowski of Newburgh, NY, brother-in-law; Lawrence Condon & his wife Cindy of Schenectady, NY, A brother-in-law; Gerald Condon of Voorheesville, NY, and a brother-in-law; Victor Quesnel of Whiting. Several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by a brother Leo Zawistowski, a brother-in-law Stephen Condon, Jr, a brother-in-law; Michael Condon and a sister-in-law; Alice Quesnel.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury. The Rev. William Beaudin, pastor was the celebrant. The graveside committal service and burial; with military honors; followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; Addison County Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753 or to St. Mary’s Church for the choir, c/o Kevin Parizo, 326 College Street, Middlebury, VT 05753.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
