Weddings That Connect Generations

A quick stop in at Bristol Beauty Nook found some things right as rain and twin sisters Lucille and Cecile taking a much needed  stay at home vacation. “This is the first time in three years I have not taken in customers,” shared Lucille who had to take two weeks off for some medical procedures that needed to be done. While convalescing at home, the sisters were quick to catch this reporter up on family stories, incoming company and other news that keeps them at just shy of their 90th birthday on the ball and on the move.
    A new family photo has taken a spot of prominence in the collection displayed by the sisters and it carried with it a story of love, generations and time. When Lucille married her husband on September 5th, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts, sister Cecile was in the wedding party as well as many treasured friends, family and a young flower girl named Margaret Deltufo. When granddaughter Stephanie asked to be married on September 5th this past year family jumped at the opportunity to link the third generation to the first in this special and momentous tradition. Present at the wedding was an enlarged photo of Lucille’s wedding party from 1948. Enjoying the day with her twin Cecile and her granddaughter Lucille also shared the spotlight with the only other remaining member of that original wedding party who is still alive, flower girl Margaret Deltufo. “It really was a special day,” reminisced Lucille. “I was so happy to be a part of my granddaughter’s wedding and to have her and I share that as our wedding date.”
    With summer just around the corner the pair of sisters has a full agenda of visitors, outings and of course business as usual at Bristol Beauty Nook to look forward to. “When you are almost ninety there is the right to pick and choose what events we do,” quipped sister Cecile. “But so far we can both say we like to do it all.” Family, fun and looking at life as only twins can keep these two sisters on the mend, in the game and leading the pack.
