by Mike CameronWatching Dan Kearney's Pre-Owned Cars and Trucks grow over the past 40 years has been a privilege for many of us.  Dan, his son Joe and John Thomson are a winning team.  These guys enjoy the process of helping drivers buy a dependable, affordable used vehicle.  They do it right and have 40 years of doing business the right way behind them.  They look forward to the future with the kind of enthusiasm that winners only know.
Let’s travel back a bit.  The year is 1977 and Dan has just opened a Tuff-Kote auto rustproofing business.  As time progresses, he adds some used cars and trucks, it's a good move and business moves forward.  Enthusiasm is high, customers’ needs are met and repeat business follows year after year as new customers join in.  Most importantly of all; friends are made and friends is what Dan, Joe and John are all about.
They want to get to know their customers and serve them well.  In recent years the company made a decision to sell Little Guy lightweight, tow-able camper trailers.  The evolution with this new product has been exceptional and continues to grow.
Pride in ownership and personal service to their customers is a Dan Kearney trademark and was made even more evident when the company was rebuilt from scratch after a devastating fire over the past two years.  A new customer visiting the business would never suspect this.  Regular customers know that the company never missed a beat during the re-build at the dealership on Business Route 4 in Center Rutland.
The company services their vehicle inventory in their own shop and as they stated in a recently published Thank You display advertisement, their vehicles have been Vermont State Inspected “(very important in today's world!).”
Dan Kearney extends his heartfelt thanks to all the people he serves.  We at the Valley Voice congratulate Dan, Joe and John for 40 exceptional years and we thank you for allowing us to help you promote your business in our newspaper.
