Sharing His Talents With Others

Master Craftsman Edwin James enjoys working with wood. Ed James brought several examples of his work to share with Seniors at Elderly Services here in Middlebury. Much of Ed’s work reflects his family history. Seen here he explains a sugar house from the family property in Shoreham next to it is a miniature sawmill that is fully functional by adding a flow of running water to the water wheel. Piece after piece of Ed’s work has it's own unique story behind it reflecting much of what it so special about our Green Mountain State and Addison County in particular. Later Ed James gathered with seniors for a recitation of his original poetry. A gentle man of exceptional skills who in a day and age of rather shrill rhetoric reminds each of us that communication doesn’t have to be loud and harsh to be profoundly effective and appreciated.
