It happened much faster than anyone ever expected.  A piece of Middlebury history was placed permanently in the past on Wednesday, October 19th 2016.  The former Shea Motor Company building was removed to make way for the final construction phase of the brand new, state of the art, Denecker Chevrolet dealership on Route 7 South of Middlebury Vermont.
Denecker Chevrolet will be one of the newest facilities of its kind in the country.  It was an exciting day and a dream come true for owners Tom Denecker, Mike Capra and their support staff.  The new sales and office space, showroom and service bays are unlike any other in Vermont.
With the final demolition a piece of Middlebury history crosses paths with the past.  The new Denecker dealership will now serve customers where both Beckwith and Shea Motor Companies operated in past decades. Denecker Chevrolet has plans in the works for a large scale grand opening celebration that will usher in a new era of automotive excellence here in Addison County. .
