Obituaries 5-27-16 William R. RandallRipton - William R. Randall, age 55 of Ripton, VT died May 18, 2016 at home surrounded by his family after a brief illness.He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Pam Lackard and their son, Joshua. He was born June 1, 1960 in Rutland to Edna (Diane) Randall and the late Rodney Randall. He graduated from Middlebury Union High School in 1978. He was predeceased by his niece, Danielle Lackard and brother Tom. He is survived by his brother James Randall of South Carolina, his sisters Robina Mailoux of Winooski and Becky Labor of Middlebury and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. For the last 20 years, Bill owned and operated Lackard Service in Weybridge. He was in the automotive business all his life. After high school he went to technical college in Arizona where he earned his degree as an automotive technician. Bill loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was compassionate, thoughtful and a caring man, especially toward his family. He and his wife were on a racing team with Fosters Motors and won Rookie of the Year. Every year for his birthday, a group of friends would celebrate and go four-wheeling. His favorite saying was “pay no attention” and he always said tomarrow instead of tomorrow. His son Josh was his pride and joy; their ritual was to share a bedtime movie. A Memorial celebration will be held at Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury on May 28th, 2016 from 2pm-5pm. Contributions may be sent to: Homeward Bound at 236 Boardman St., Middlebury, VT 05753. Following the service there will be a celebration of Bill’s life at the home of Danny Lackard in Leicester.
