It was July 1, 2002 when Bill Fuller started a new second career. He had a vision of creating his own niche in the marketplace and bringing together his years of working with people and his passion for adventure. Fuller purchased one vehicle and launched a personalized transportation company, not to be confused with a taxi service or a public transportation network, Middlebury Transportation Group is Vermont’s largest limousine and car service with bases of operations in Middlebury, and offices in Stowe and Burlington.  Bill and Sara Fuller, along with an experienced staff of dispatchers, reservation and sales specialists, chauffeurs and support staff operate Middlebury Transit, Burlington Limousine and Car Service and Vermont Chauffeured Transportation. What started with one vehicle has grown annually to include a diverse fleet of twenty five different vehicles in the fleet and employees thirty six across the Champlain Valley and the state.
Bill and Sara were born and raised in Vermont and have the same opinion when it comes to launching a new venture at any age or stage of life. “Simply don’t give up!” shared Bill. “Find a passion and keep it simple. With focus, passion and hard work, minding the details and great people around you, you can succeed.” Middlebury Transit started out transporting Middlebury College guests, VIP’s, faculty and staff traveling to meetings to and from airports including Burlington, Montreal, Boston, Manchester, New York and Albany.  Soon the phone (802)388-3838 was ringing and students were also asking for transportation to the airport. Bill purchased another vehicle and Sara joined shortly after and together the couple began to expand the offerings at Middlebury Transport. They opened a branch in 2006 with limousine and car service located at 1130 Airport Drive in South Burlington called Burlington Limousine and Car Service which offers ultra-luxurious transportation options in stretch limousines. Whether it is small and luxurious passenger executive vans, fourteen passenger mini-coaches or a Cadillac livery sedan, Bill, Sara and staff see that each customer has personally experiences professional, prompt and dependable service from starting point to the end destination.
While others might see the economy and world situations as a time for reservations about the economy, Bill and Sara have seen growth each year and expanded a third time to add Vermont Chauffeured Transportation located just off the Mountain Road in Stowe, Vermont. In addition to serving corporate events and offering regional airport transportation, this division also specializes in small group tours in the Stowe region with destinations including Ben & Jerry’s, Boyden Farm Winery and Vermont Teddy Bear. “While we are growing and are delighted with the business,” remarked Bill, “we are careful to balance our growth and our ability to provide a quality service. You never forget that it is about the quality of the service for the guests.”
Surrounded by great people to work with who share their passion and excellence, Bill and Sara Fuller work together with the same zest that they did in 2002 when there was one car and in 2016 find themselves with a fleet. “We love talking to people and booking their transportation needs,” expressed Sara Fuller. “While some things are seasonal, some are long standing traditions. The phone starts ringing in January for all the proms in from Burlington to Plattsburgh, and the Champlain Valley to Ticonderoga.” Whether it is the long standing accounts or a new booking, the phones were ringing and Sara was on with clients on and off during the interview. “We love what we do,” concluded Bill. And even to the casual observer it shows. Using the same passion for people and skills honed in careers in insurance, education and years of service on the Fire Departments and Rescue Squads, Bill and Sara Fuller looked at retirement not as a time to slow down but to launch the next dream and adventure. Most of their advertising is still done the old fashioned way by word of mouth and in the handshakes and testimonies of satisfied customers who traveled safely, timely and in style with any of the three branches of Middlebury Transportation Group.
The Fullers invite you to their website middleburytransportation.com and see if the services of Middlebury Transit, Vermont Chauffeured Transportation or Burlington Limousine and Car Service will best suit your personalized transportation needs. One thing is for sure, all three bear the personal stamp and guarantee of Bill and Sara Fuller that they will take you in unparalleled style and comfort to your home, office, campus, airport or any other destination you can name.
