An invitation to view the art of some talented Christmas Tree designers and an opportunity to bid on one or more to own for your very own.  It's just the beginning of a Holiday visit to the Henry Sheldon Museum from now until January 9th.  Follow up a tree view and bid with a visit to the 2015 Train Exhibit and witness model railroading at its best from the Midd-Vrmont Train Club.  Pictured, a Lionel locomotive pulls into town at dusk as lights begin to glow in the small village which seems to be hosting a Winter Carnival.  Next is a macro-look at a tiny sign on a Christmas tree, up for bid, featuring a fishing theme and some sage angler philosophy.  This is the 24th year of the train display.  The museum would like to thank financial underwriters: Macy's, Middlebury Rotary and Sheldon Members & Annual Fund Donors for their support.

It's always a fun and informative visit.  This year the Midd-Vermont Train Club's Holiday Train Display at the Henry Sheldon Museum features the wonderful seasonal artistry of Gayl Braisted.  We say seasonal because the backdrop for the moving trains and village settings slowly change from late summer on the left to winter on the right.  It is beautiful and precise in detail.   The trains are moving in an almost perfect setting making one want to be tiny enough to fit into the scene themselves.  Now here's a challenge for you when you visit.  See if you can find:  1 eagle, 4 mischievous bears, 2 beavers, 1 lizard, 1 bobcat, 1 catamount, 1 skunk, and an animal that doesn’t live in the Green Mountain state.  For more information on exhibits and admission visit their website at www.henrysheldonmuseum.org.
Now is the time to enjoy some unique and one of a kind Christmas Tree artistry at The Henry Sheldon Museum.  This year the Sheldon is offering a Christmas Tree Raffle featuring a dozen creative miniature trees decorated by local artists: Bobby Brooker; Adele’ Connors; Advertisers Workshop, Lake Placid NY; Cacklin' Hens; Nancie Dunn, Sweet Cecily; Warren Kimble; Michael Manley; Otter Creek Kitchenware and Electronics; Sarah Pope; Sarah Stahl; The Vermont Book Shop and Ashley Wolff.
Pictured, the Vermont Book Shop honors Snowflake Bentley with their tree and The Advertisers Work Shop staff in Lake Placid presents a fishing lure tree.
