Obituaries 8-18-15 Donald Robert AinesSUDBURY: Donald Robert Aines, age 74, died Monday, August 10, 2015, at his home in Sudbury.Mr. Aines was born in Sudbury on October 18, 1940. He was the son of Arthur G. and Mildred (Disorda) Aines, Sr. He was a life long resident of Sudbury. He received his early education in local Sudbury schools and had attended Brandon High School. In his earlier years he had worked as a Dairy Farmer as well as raising beef cattle. He had worked for many years in the well drilling business at Spafford’s Well Drilling. He later was employed as a Molder at C.P.C. Plastic’s in Middlebury. He was forced to retire due to ill health in 2001. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving is his wife; Etta (Desjadon) Aines of Sudbury; whom he married June 23, 1962 in Orwell, sister’s Diane LaDuc of Rutland and Mary Bartlett of Ctr. Rutland. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Bud Aines and 2 sisters; Pauline Kearney and Helen Angel. The graveside committal service and burial took place on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Wallace Cemetery in Sudbury. A celebration of his life followed the ceremony, at the Sudbury Town Hall. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; The Whiting First Response Squad, c/o Marie Berry, Murray Road, Whiting, VT 05778, or the Vermont Kidney Association, P.O. Box 244, Burlington, VT 05402. Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
