Robert R. White

Addison/Ticonderoga: Robert R. White, 69, of Ticonderoga, NY, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015.
    Born in Addison, Vermont, September 22, 1945, he was the son of the late Floyd and Shirley (Lattrell) White.
     Robert was a graduate of Vergennes Union High School.  He was a lifetime resident of Vermont, and Port Henry and Ticonderoga, New York and was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Free & Accepted Masons.
    Bob was a Vermont farmer through his young adult life.  He then transferred to International Paper Company, where he was employed for 25 years.  Following his employment at the Mill he worked for S.W. & B. and Cianbro.
    He was a sports enthusiast and especially enjoyed NASCAR races and basketball.
    He enjoyed working in his vegetable gardens and especially loved preparing pickles.
   He was pre-deceased by his parents; and by one brother, Ron White.
    He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ann (Russell) White.  They were married on October 4, 1997.  He is also survived by two sons, William White and his wife, Heather of Clarksville, Indiana, and Dennis White and his girlfriend, Jessica of Port Henry; one daughter, Sherri Messier and her husband Bob of Belleville, Illinois; two sisters, Cheryl White and her husband, Dale Logan of Bridport, Vermont and Terry Townson and her husband, Darrell of Georgetown, Ontario; one brother, Steve White and his wife, Linda of Shoreham, Vermont; two step-children, Cheryl Austin and Donald Austin, Jr.; two brothers-in-law, Douglas Russell and his wife, Sandra and Elwin Russell and his wife, JoAnn; six sisters-in-law, Karen Sheets and her husband, Andy, Mary Bartlett and her husband, Dick, Linda Compton and her husband, Melvin, Susan Snider and her husband Ernie, Holly Russell, and Theresa Paff and her husband, Jay.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Hailee White, Gavin White, Cori White, Ariel White, Bailey White, Isaac White, Larry Boven and Liv White;  and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
    A Funeral Service was held at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin D. McEwan, Pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, officiated.
    The Rite of Committal will take place at the family plot at  St. Peter's Parish Cemetery of Vergennes, Vermont On Wednesday July 1 at 11a.m.
