Rene Arthur Preseau

SUDBURY: Rene Arthur Preseau, age 65, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
    Mr. Preseau was born in Middlebury on January 27, 1950. He was the son of Wilfred Joseph and Cecile Mary (Cousineau) Preseau. He grew up in Sudbury and received his early education in Sudbury Hill School and Burr Pond School. He was graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class of 1969. He joined the Vermont Air National Guard and served his four year term. He had worked at Hendy’s Brothers in Middlebury for a short time before joining the staff at Standard Register. He had worked as a pressman at Standard Register for over 30 years until their closing in 2003. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing ping pong and pitching horseshoes. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved spending time with his family.
    Surviving is his Partner-in-life, for over 20 years; Sharon Alexander of Sudbury, 2 daughters; Angela Rupe of Rutland and Tammy Dowling of Bennington, 2 sons; Gavin Preseau and Richard Preseau both of Brandon, 2 brothers; Peter Preseau and Ronald Preseau both of Sudbury. 7 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive him. In additional to his parents he was also predeceased by a brother, Edgar Preseau.
In respecting his wishes there will be no public calling hours or funeral services.
    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; The Vermont Heart Association, 434 Hurricane Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
