Town officials were on hand Tuesday, February 17th to dedicate this years town report to Edgar “Bub” Crosby.
The dedication reads as follows: We dedicate this year’s Town Report to Edgar “Bub” Crosby, Jr. Bub has been a life long area resident and has resided  in Bridport for the past two decades. During these years he has served the Town of Bridport unselfishly. He has untiringly given of himself in many capacities most predominantly as a member of the Town Planning Commission and the Bridport Fire Department, and in many unseen ways as well. This year Bub received his designation as a Life memberof the Bridport Fire Department. This is an honor representing a span of service of over twenty years,  the majority in which he has filled the office of Treasurer as he continues to do so.
With his easy and pleasant manner with all people, along with his business experience, Bub’s consistent volunteerism has been of great value to the Town of Bridport. His ability and generosity is appreciated by so many here in Bridport and the greater area of our neighboring communities.
A big “hats off” to you, Bub, with sincere thanks and appreciation.
Bub and Meg recently sold their business, Bub’s Barn, and are now retired. They will be remembered for their community service, their generosity, and their eagerness to promote the Vermont way of life. Congratulation on this award and a big thank you for all you mean to this area.
