Reece Jaring and Katelyn Stone are not only newly engaged but 2015 is the year of their wedding. They are like many couples who will be joined in marriage this year with a growing list of things to do, choices to make and places to visit and see. The couple is looking forward with enthusiasm and joy to their upcoming marriage and Valentine’s Day as one of the best to date and shared, “It’s coming up fast!”
Katelyn and Reece met in high school in 2010 through mutual friends and began to date in 2011. Valentine’s Day for the pair is much more than a time of candles, candies and gifts. “In our perspective,” shared the couple, “Valentine’s Day is a day where we take time to appreciate our love and appreciation for one another, because often times the busy life makes it harder to celebrate daily.” Going out on dates is important for the pair and they love to plan and go out as often as time permits. Whether it is dinner, a movie or even a weekend away, both Reece and Katelyn love to dress up and hold hands all the time. The pair had a good chuckle about all of the hype around creating the perfect date or Valentine’s Day evening. “It truly is the smallest things that mean the most to us,” shared Katelyn. “Whether is it simply renting a movie from a red box or just spending the evening together with friends, it is the simple gift of the time and companionship. We share so many interests and it just gets strengthened when we are able to be together with no set agenda.”
The couple’s wedding date is set for September 26, 2015 and they are planning and taking 2015 in stages. The entire process has been a joint venture with the exception of the wedding gown which is Katelyn’s secret. Reece and Kaitlyn talk through and put in motion each part of their plans together. “One thing Reece and I have learned throughout our years together is that commitment makes our relationship work. We know that all relationships have their issues, but to stay strong and stick through it is the key and to communicate all the time.” With Valentine’s Day just around the corner both are strong fans of the other and happily list off the attributes that they love about their partner. “Unconditional love, dedication to family romantic, and being hard workers lead the list. While the two are currently career driven and focused, both are looking forward to having a family and growing together as the years go by.
The Valley Voice extends their best wishes of hugs, love and high five’s to the couples of 2015. May your journey to your wedding day be an adventure you both share and may the year ahead be filled with moments of joy and a celebration of all those small things that truly make a lifetime special. Happy Valentine’s Day from the Valley Voice family to yours.
