While there is no doubt that the sale of chocolates soar during Valentine’s Day week, there are devoted chocolate lovers who live by the belief that any day is made better with chocolate. And for those whose sweet tooth is more than just a once in a while craving, good chocolate is not only sought after but loyally revered and treasured. Just ask any of the regulars who stop by Daily Chocolate in the Little City.  At Daily Chocolate making candy is more than a recipe, it is an art form and one that owner Jen Roberts takes very seriously. Roberts, who purchased the business five years ago from the previous owner Floery Mahoney learned her talents from Mahoney but admits to always adoring and loving chocolate.
If people are looking for something extra special for their Valentine or just to celebrate a day or for a quick pick me up, Daily Chocolate offers local favorites like Black Rum Caramel Chocolate with Sea Salt and delectable new offerings like Lemongrass/Sake Ginger. Roberts has her own personal favorites including Macadamia Nut Caramel but admits to changing favorites many times a year. “Chocolate is for all occasions,” shared Roberts. “Right now people are waiting for us to make The Goddess which is very popular this time of year.” So if you are searching for a Valentine’s Day sweet or just plain curious to see chocolate that is taken to the next level, stop by Tuesday-Friday from 11:00-5:30 p.m. or Saturday from 11:00-4:00 p.m. at Daily Chocolate or check them out on the web at dailychocolate.net. They ship around the country and were putting together a box of scrumptious treats headed for Texas when this reporter stopped by.
