Porter Medical Center recently honored Linda White’s 47 years of service with  a retirement party at Waybury Inn. Words of praise flowed easily from President Jim Daily as he recalled some of the highlights of Linda’s career as an OB nurse. Linda, who assisted in over 2500 births was always there comforting the mothers during and after the birth of their babies. Described by Jim Daily as loyal, dedicated, and always performing beyond the call of duty, Linda will be remembered for her wisdom, mentoring talents, and her unwavering devotion to her job.  Congratulations Linda. She and her husband Steve who recently retired are planning to spend the winter in Florida and return to Vermont in the spring.
