Alexander “Alex” Rodney Trudeau

SALISBURY: Alexander “Alex” Rodney Trudeau, age 60, died Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Vermont Respite House in Williston.
    Mr. Trudeau was born in Middlebury on June 17, 1954. He was the son of Merrill and Pauline (Wells) Trudeau. He grew up in Salisbury where he received his early education and was graduated from Middlebury High School, class of 1970. In earlier years he had worked at Zachary’s Pizza in Middlebury for several years. He later worked as a grounds keeper and maintenance worker. He was a licensed Piper Cub Pilot and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Later in life he worked as a homecare provider. He was an avid treasure hunter and reader.
    Surviving is his son, Rodney Trudeau of Colchester, a daughter Pamela Jakubowski of Myrtle Beach, SC, 3 brothers Daniel Trudeau of Houston, TX, Randy Trudeau of Leicester and Theodore “Ted” Trudeau of Brandon and his sister Rebecca “Becky” Fisher of Rutland. 6 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his parents, an infant brother “Little Merrill” and a brother Thomas Trudeau.
    The graveside committal service and burial will take place at a later date, in Holman Cemetery in Salisbury.
    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; The Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.

 

Nancy Jane Devino

BRANDON: Nancy Jane Devino, age 77, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at Rutland Health Care.
    Ms: Devino was born in Holderness, NH on May 10, 1937. She was the daughter of Charles and Ethelyne (Guyette) Howe. She grew up in Holderness where she received her early education. She later moved to Melrose, MA where she attended Melrose High School. She has worked as a Nurses Aide for most of her life. She moved to Brandon in 1970 and continued her career with the Visiting Nurses. She was forced to retire in 1996 because of medical issues. She was a member of Brandon American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #55. She enjoyed country music and cooking.
    Surviving are 2 daughters; Ann Emerson of Laconia, NH and Marilyn Snow of Brandon, her sister; Ruth O’Haire of Center Harbor, NH, and her companion Joan Devino of Rutland. 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother Charles “Skip” Howe and a sister Mabel Sargent.
    The funeral service was held on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon, where members of the Ladies Auxiliary conducted a service. The graveside committal service and burial followed, in the family lot, at Pine Hill Cemetery.
