Walter Adrian Bryant

BRANDON: Walter Adrian Bryant, age 74, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at his home in Brandon.
    Mr. Bryant was born in Forestdale on December 15, 1939. He was the son of Albert and Margaret (Lake) Bryant. He grew up in Forestdale where he received his early education and was graduated from Brandon high School, CLASS OF 1960. He had worked in High Steel Construction for Racine Tower. He later drove truck for Sunoco for several years. He had been a self employed construction contractor in roofing and building, as well as trucking and excavation. He was an avid gardener and in his earlier years he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was forced to retire due to declining health in 2007.
    Surviving is his wife; Katherine (Wroblewski) Bryant of Brandon; whom he married in Rutland on July 2, 1966, 2 sons; John Hayden Bryant of Brandon and Thomas Adrian Bryant of Leicester, 3 sisters; Claudia Bilodeau of Brandon, Priscilla “Peg” Bertrand of Rutland and Jane Johnson of Florida, 6 brother’s; Kenneth Bryant of Westfield, Steve Bryant of Goshen, Jon Bryant, Lawrence “Larry” Bryant, Mark “Jim” Bryant and Patrick Bryant all of Brandon. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by 2 brothers; David Bryant and Ronald Bryant.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, July 18, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. The Rev. Ruel Tumangday was the celebrant. The graveside committal service and burial followed.
There were no public calling hours.
    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; the Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT or to St. Mary’s Church Restoration Fund, 38 Carver Street, Brandon, VT 05733.
    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.

 

PEARL CAREY MACKISSOCK

BRANDON:Pearl Carey MacKissock, age 85, died Thursday, July 17, 2014, at Helen
Porter Health & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.
Mrs. MacKissock was born in Brandon on July 7, 1929. She was the daughter of
Dayton and Clara (Varney) Carey. She grew up in Brandon and received her
education in Brandon schools. She began her working career in child care. She later
worked in the food service department at the old Brandon Training Schools for over
21 years. She retired in 1991. She continued working with the elderly at Lockwood
Nursing Home in Hanover, NH and Valley Terrace Nursing Home in Wilder, VT.
She enjoyed crafts and cooking.
Surviving are 3 sons; Everett Mitchell of Rutland, Dana Carey of Wallingford and
Ronald MacKissock of Brandon, her daughter Robin Karvo of Shoreham. 14
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins also
survive her. She was predeceased by 2 daughters; Sandra Malinowski and Agnes
Pudvah, 2 brothers Edgar Carey and Victor Carey and her sister Susie Brink.
The graveside committal service and burial took place on Monday, July 21, 2014,
at Forestdale Cemetery. Mr. Bertram Coolidge officiated.
Following the ceremony the family will receive friends at the home of Ron & Melinda
MacKissock for a time of remembrance.

VINCENT LEE EUBER

BRANDON:Vincent Lee Euber, age 49, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Fletcher
Allen Health Care in Burlington.
Mr. Euber was born in Proctor on March 14, 1965. He was the son of Philip and
Wilma (Cram) Euber. He grew up in Salisbury where he received his early education
and was graduated from Middlebury Union High School Class of 1983. He moved
with his family to Brattleboro in 1984 where he worked for several years at
Friendly’s Restaurant. He later worked at Book Press for several years. He was
forced to retire due to a disability in 1995. he enjoyed his computer and playing the
guitar. He is survived by 3 brothers; Stacey Euber of Dover and Jammie
Euber of Forestdale and Glen Euber of Brattleboro, his sister Michele Y. Blake of
Brattleboro. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him.
The graveside committal service and burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014
at 11:30 AM at Forestdale Cemetery. Family & friends will share in the service.
