The Vergennes Elementary Read-a-Thon is proud to announce that the students read 220, 354 minutes during the March Reading Challenge. Eighty-five percent of the students brought in their reading logs through the month and with the in house minutes, provided by parents mentors, 100% of the students participated. Students are currently collecting their sponsorship money which will be used to help purchase non-fiction texts for the classroom use and in support of the national Common Core.
The school is proud of all of their students and thank everyone for supporting the first ever read-a-thon! It certainly will be a part of March events for years to come!
