On Tuesday, March 4th, members of the Vergennes Rotary and Middlebury Rotary gathered to eat breakfast, share Rotary news and to cheer on their contestants in the divisional round of the Rotary Speech Contest. Addressing the Rotarians were Middlebury sophomore Makayla Foster who spoke on the Rotary theme of Service Above Self and Vergennes sophomore Emily Martin who spoke on the Rotary Four Way Test. At the end of the close contest, Makayla emerged victorious and will represent the district at the next level of Rotary competitions in late March.
