The 2014 ACFA Awards Banquet was hosted by the Vergennes Eagles Club on January 15, 2014. Along with firefighters and guests several State Representatives were in attendance. One subject of discussion was Governor Peter Shumlin’s 2014 Budget Address to a joint session of the Vermont Legislature earlier in the day. This year’s banquet, as in the past, was well attended. Mike Donnelly of the Vergennes Fire Department handed out awards. On a sadder note longtime firefighter Kelly James, a founding father of the Weybridge Department, who has passed was honored with a moment of silence.
