Donald Adam Fortune

RUTLAND - Donald Adam Fortune, age 51, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home in Rutland.  He was born March 25, 1962 in Avon, CT to Gerard and  Virginia (Stupcenski) Fortune. He received his education in Leicester schools and at Otter Valley Union High School in Brandon.  He married Dawn Crickmore on Oct 27, 1987 and had lived in the Rutland area for many years.  He was employed by Terry Hill Trucking in Milton.   His interests included outdoor cooking on the grill, bargain shopping and fishing.  
    Surviving are his wife of Center Rutland, three sons, Adam L. Fortune, Georgia, VT, Michael D. Fortune and Andrew J. Fortune, both of Rutland, a daughter, Heather Fortune, Center Rutland, a brother, David Fortune, Mass, 4 sisters, Diane Fortune-Smith, Mass, Donna Fortune, New Hampshire, Debra Longley, Florida and Doreen Fortune-Lavallee, Arizona, 6 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
    A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday, September 23, 2013  at 4PM in the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home, 26 Franklin Street, Brandon.  There are no calling hours.

Tina Marie Forrest

BRANDON - Tina Marie Forrest, age 57, died Monday, September 16, 2013, at her home in Brandon.
    Ms: Forrest was born in Rutland on March 4, 1956. She was the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Ryder) Forrest. She received her early education in local Forestdale and Brandon Schools and had attended Otter Valley Union High School. Following her education she moved to New Hampshire and later to Massachusetts where she was a home care provider for the elderly. She returned to Brandon in 1999 to help care for her ailing father. She was employed at New England Woodcraft until a disability forced her retirement in 2000. She loved animals especially her cats.
    Surviving is her sister, Sandra Trombley of Brandon, 2 brothers; Robert Forrest of Pittsford and Gary Forrest of Brandon. Many nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her parents and 4 brothers; Phillip, Gregory, Wayne and Roger Forrest.
    The funeral service was held on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to; Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733 or to Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763.
