35th Annual Middlebury Summer Festival on-the-Green

Tuesday July 2, 2013

The Village Green serves as the venue for the Middlebury Summer Festival on-the-Green celebrating its 35th Season from July 7-13, 2013. Our program opens on Sunday, July 7, at 7 p.m. with the quirky, pure pop music sounds of the Brooklyn-based band Lake Street Dive and includes Brooks Williams, Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo, Ellis, After the Rodeo, The Holmes Brothers, Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing, and The Clayfoot Strutters along with some sensational Canadian acts—Cassie and Maggie MacDonald, Raz-de-Marée (a.k.a. Tidal Wave) and Kobo Town, to give you a hint of what’s in store. The popular “Brown Bag” series returns during the noon hour Monday through Friday. The week concludes with the Vermont Jazz Ensemble Street Dance on Saturday night, complete with Jim Condon leading the swing dance instruction. Events are held rain or shine.  Free admission (donations welcomed).  Info: www.festivalonthegreen.org or 802/462-3555.
