RENA MARIE BOOTH

FORESTDALE:Rena Marie Booth, age 75, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington.

    Mrs. Booth was born in Addison on July 31, 1936. She was the daughter of Oliver and Clara (Pomainville) Charlebois. She grew up in Addison and was graduated from Vergennes High School, class of 1955. Rena had worked for many years at Brandon Training School as an Occupational Therapist. Following the closure of the school she worked at the Vermont Division of Motor Vehicles in Rutland until retiring in 2000. Rena had served for several years as a member of the Brandon Area Rescue Squad. She had also served on the Brandon 4th. Of July Parade Committee. She belonged to the Old Time Fiddlers Association, where she played Accordion, Base and Keyboard. She loved to dance and had been a past member of the Neshobe Sportsman’s Club.

    Surviving is her husband Ian David Booth of Forestdale; whom she married in Middlebury on March 24, 1980, her children; Lynn deLancey & husband Rusty of Sudbury and their children, Brandi deLancey of Atlanta, GA and Travis deLancey of Leicester, Donald Castonguay and his son Ryan of Forestdale, Alison McCullough & husband Chuck of Rutland Town and their daughter Brittany Booth of Rutland; Diana Harvey of Jupiter, FL, Maureen Booth of Rutland Town and her children; Ian Taylor Booth and Avery Provin; Deb Kimball & husband Will of Leicester and their children; Sara, of Kitettering, OH and Stephanie of Lynn, MA and great granddaughter Lillian Webb; her siblings; Real Charlebois of Burlington, Bernard Charlebois & his wife Marsella of Springfield, OR, Simone Masse of Old Chatham, NY, Rita Booska of New Haven, Eugene Charlebois & his wife Judy of Addison and Jean Bernek of Florida, and sister-in-law; Jean Burrell & husband Pat of Barre. She was predeceased by a sister Anita Godard and a brother Richard Charlebois.

    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2012,  at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brandon. The Rev. Albert “Skip” Baltz, pastor will be the celebrant. Following the mass the family will receive friends in the church hall, for a time of fellowship & remembrance.

   The graveside committal service and burial was held at  Gage Cemetery in Ferrisburgh.

  Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in her memory to; The Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733.

Mary Elizabeth Fonda

BENSON:Mary Elizabeth Fonda, age 100, died Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Rutland Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Fonda was born in Leicester on September 25, 1911. She was the daughter of Charles and Caroline (LaDam) Johnson. She received her early education in Leicester schools and was graduated from Brandon High School, class of 1928. She had worked most of her life as a seamstress in the garment district in New York City and later Pennsylvania. She retired from Playtex Corporation. She had moved back to Vermont to be near family 2009.

 Surviving is her daughter Louise Denis of Benson. 4 grandchildren, a great granddaughter and many nieces, nephews & cousins also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband; Mario Fonda, 3 brothers; Marvin Johnson, Joseph “Pinky” Johnson and Frederick Johnson, 3 sisters; Alice White, Katherine Broderick and Gertrude McDonough and a grandson; Thomas Denis.

 A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

 Arrangements are under the direction of the Mallory Funeral Home in Fair Haven.
