Todd Robert Patch Cornwall: Todd Robert Patch 42, died unexpected Wednesday April 18, 2012.He was born July 21, 1969 in Rutland, VT; he was the son of Thomas W. and Patricia A. (Powell) Patch. Albert Binns Cox IINorth Ferrisburgh: Albert Binns Cox II of North Ferrisburgh, passed away at Shard Villa in Salisbury, Vermont on April 20, after a long battle with brain cancer. Binns is survived by many relatives in and around the Barryville, Virginia area. He and his beloved pre-deceased wife, Betsy, lived quiet, gracious lives; however, they both struggled with numerous health issues during their later years. Despite those challenges, they both remained eternally optimistic. Their love of nature was expressed in their philanthropy to various preservation and birding organizations, and they remained loyal to their philosophy of living simply and appreciating life’s precious moments. Binns will be remembered by his friends and loved ones as the “quintessential southern gentleman”. It was his request that there will be no memorial service. Alberta Hill AldrichMIDDLEBURY – Alberta Hill Aldrich, 92, passed away at The Lodge at Otter Creek in Middlebury, VT on April 23, 2012. She was born in Rochester, VT to Albert and Marjory Kezer Hill. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1937 and Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1941. She taught physical education at West Winfield High School, West Winfield, NY from 1941–46 and second grade at the Town of Webb School in Old Forge, NY from 1955-1975. On July 11, 1942 she married her high school sweetheart, Kearnan Fairbanks Aldrich in Crown Point, IN while Kearnan was serving in the Navy. She was predeceased by her parents, husband and brother Richard Hill. She is survived by her brother Fayette Hill and his wife Olive of Rochester, VT, daughter Regina Aldrich of Missoula, MT and son Terry Aldrich and wife Beth Ann of Cornwall, VT as well as three grandchildren: Travis and wife Sierra, Ryan and wife Lizzie, Allison and husband Gregg and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Addison Home Health and Hospice, P.O. Box 754, Middlebury, VT or Project Independence, P.O. Box 581, Middlebury, VT. Robert Burton SwiningtonPITTSFORD: Robert Burton Swinington, age 86, died April 23, 2012, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Swinington was born in Leicester on January 31, 1926. He was the son of Norman and Eva (Allen) Swinington. He grew up in Leicester where he received his education. Surviving is his niece and care provider; Diane Bent of Pittsford; with whom he has made his home, 1 sister, Elizabeth Pidgeon of Leicester and several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was predeceased by 4 brothers; Allen, Thomas, Richard and Francis Swinington and 5 sisters; Margaret Chatfield, Charlotte Martin, Catherine Delorm, Achsah Jones and Madeline Barker. In honoring his request, all services of remembrance will be private. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to: The Brandon American Legion Post #55, P.O. Box 25, Brandon, VT 05733. Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon. Eva Wilcox BetourneyMiddlebury: A graveside service for Eva Wilcox Betourney, 96, who passed away February 13, 2012 will be held at St. Genevieve’s Cemetery in Shoreham on May 3rd, 2012 at 11 A.M.
