Children love holidays and having the family around means many people to talk to and to have fun with. They also love to contribute in the cooking and decorating. These tissue paper flowers are fun to make, bright and cheerful.
Tissue Paper Flowers Cut a few pieces (about 4-6) of tissue paper (crepe paper) about 8 x 10 inches (the exact size doesn't matter). Use many different colors or use the same color such as pink which will look like a fully bloomed peony flower. Put the paper in a pile and fold it like an accordion. Tie the center of the folded paper with a green pipe cleaner (or twist tie). Gently pull each piece of paper towards the top center of the flower, separating each sheet of paper from the others (forming the petals of the flower). Use 5X5 inch squares of tissue paper for smaller flowers …make a bouquet for the dining room table, mom or to put in your hair.
