On the Job With The Valley Voice Family

T’was the night before deadline and all through the paper,
Cheryl was in full swing with last minute capers.
Every creature was stirring, every keyboard and mouse.
The ads were all gleaming in colors so bright.
articles were flying from each printer long into the night.
And what to our wondering eyes should appear,
but Dale in his Caddy with holiday cheer.
In a twinkling we heard on the roof,
the prancing and pawing of many little
hooves.
Drawing in our heads and turning around,
in the doorway (no chimney folks)
came Mike with a bound.
Dressed in kayaking attire from his head to his foot,
his hands were  full of photos  his smile one of cheer.
We thought a man from the arctic was here.
Janelle paused but a moment and returned to her work,
with visions of deadlines dancing in her
head.
Marcie arrived and none to soon,
with photos and articles to appear
in Valley Voice editions after the New Year.
With Cookie arriving directly thereafter,
it looked like the Christmas edition would soon be in hand.
With passion a plenty and creativity that flowed;
the group got down to business and was soon ready for repose.
They were heard to exclaim as they drove out of sight

Merry Christmas from the Valley Voice Family
and may all your Christmases be merry and white!

Thank you for your continued patronage
as we enter 2012 and our 38th year ON THE JOB
