Clyde Wayne Lanpher

ORWELL— Clyde Wayne Lanpher, age 46, died Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Fletcher Allen Health Care Center in Burlington.

   Clyde was born in Middlebury on June 11, 1965. He was the son of Wayne and Betty (Ryder) Lanpher. He has been an Orwell resident most of his life. He received his early education in local Orwell schools, and attended Fair Haven Union High School. In his earlier years he had worked farming, for a short time, but the call of nature led him to becoming a woodsman. He was a self employed Logger, and had logged various areas of the state his entire adult life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed snowmobiling and was a NASCAR fan.

    He is survived by his mother and stepfather; Betty and Paul Gendreau of Orwell, his son Josh Warren of Shoreham, a step daughter Aubrey Armell of New Hampshire, a brother Ed Lanpher and his wife Heidi of Shoreham, 3 sisters; Rosa Mahoney of Shoreham, Maria Hall of Orwell and Julie Gendreau of Shoreham and 2 grandchildren; Cory and Elizabeth Warren of Shoreham. He was predeceased by his father Wayne Lanpher in 1972.

    A private memorial service “In Celebration of His Life” will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011. The Rev. Richard White, pastor of the Brandon Congregational Church will officiate. A private burial will take place, at a later date, in the family lot, at Forestdale Cemetery.

   Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon on Friday, December 16, from 4-7 PM.

    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; The Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.

Shirley Romaine Wheeler

FORESTDALE— Shirley Romaine Wheeler, age 78, died Friday, December 9, 2011, at her home in Forestdale.    Ms: Wheeler was born in Forestdale on December 17, 1932. She was the daughter of Clinton and Lilly (Quinn) Wheeler. She grew up in South Chittenden and received her early education in Barstow Memorial School. She moved with her family to Forestdale in 1939. She was a 1950 graduate of Brandon High School. She had worked for the Ayrshire Breeders Cattle Association for 42 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of The Forestdale Wesleyan Church, where she was very active in church affairs. She taught Sunday school and was the church organist and pianist. Surviving is her sister Marilyn Quesnel of Rutland and a brother Chris Wheeler of Beech Grove, Indiana. Also surviving is 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Many grand nieces and grand nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her sister; Barbara Wheeler in August 2011.

    The funeral service was held on , December 12, 2011,  at the Forestdale Wesleyan Church. The Rev. John McDonald, pastor will officiate. The graveside committal service and burial will follow in the family lot, at Forestdale Cemetery.

    Following the ceremony the family will receive friends in the church hall, for a time of fellowship & remembrance.

Justin Collins Brande

CORNWALL—Justin Collins Brande, age 59, died Thursday,  December 15, 2011, at his home in Cornwall.Arrangements are pending at the Miller &  Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.

 Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made,  in his memory to; Addison County Home Health & Hospice, P.O. Box 754,  Middlebury, VT 05753 or to Toys for Tot's, 326 State  Street, Montpelier, VT 05602.
