This fall the Vergennes rowing team competed for and succeeded at being the best high school rowing team in Vermont. The experienced team consisting of Emily Weber as coxswain and rowers; Dale Eriksen, Max Campono, Rachel Clark, Jesse Bunde, Alex Hulfish, and Emily Delgadillo won both the James Wakefield Rescue Row (having the overall fastest time from all three divisions) and the Otter Creek Challenge in Vermont.

The climax of the rowing season ended with Vergennes heading to Boston for the all New England Youth Rowing Championships. Due to high winds 27 of the 28 scheduled races were canceled. Vergennes was able to compete in the only race of the day, The Nautical Mile and finished third overall while having the fastest time out of all the Vermont teams. The intermediate team followed in the footsteps of the experienced team, with Emily Martin as coxswain and rowers; Cody Hutchins, Josh Cook, Steven Van Wyck, Jon Welch, Alex Brinkman, and Bailey Dieterle the team placed first in their division for the James Wakefield and also beat the second and third place experienced teams, having the second overall fastest time. The intermediate team also excelled at the Otter Creek Challenge having the overall fastest time in the intermediate six oar division. They also had the fastest Vermont time in the four oar division at the Icebreaker. Both teams had fill-ins from novice rowers; Nick Beamish, Jordan Dieterle, and Joe Borrello. With a spectacular fall season the team is pumped for their next race, the Snow Row on March 10th in Hull Massachusetts.
