With the installation of the new Champlain Bridge center arch, the focus now is on when the entire structure will be ready for traffic. NYSDOT officials have finally made comments on the record that the bridge will not be completed and ready for vehicular traffic on the 9th of October.  As of this issue a new completion date has not been suggested.

Work on the bridge continues both day and night. With the center section in place, what has been a large gap has now finally been bridged. FLATIRON workers will now be securing the center arch deck in place and cement trucks will continue to roll as the deck work continues.
