Madeleine Malzac Neuhoff

Vergennes - 1/03/1913- 1/23/2011

Madeleine Malzac celebrated this life to the fullest and left to join to her heavenly home just after turning 98. Born in Quebec, Madeleine moved to the United States at the age of thirteen and embraced all the opportunities that life sent her way.

Never one to stay put for long, Mado lived in Chicago, Texas, Vermont and called the sunshine state of Florida her home for some 60 plus years. During her life she worked in the careers involving fashion, sewing, sales, and always sought to help people. Well known around the south for her expertise in astrology, Mado also lived an extremely healthy life of exercise, vitamins and diet. Until a stroke took her independence at 95, she lived alone and drove to Florida each winter.

Madeleine is survived by one sister Claire in Canada and many great nieces and nephews, and outlived all of her five siblings and her husband Alfred Neuhoff who died in 1982.

Sincere thanks to the caring people of Vergennes Residential Care Home for their love and care of her for the past 3 years

In lieu of donations, Madeleine would request anyone who knew her perform an act of kindness to someone. She felt “paying it forward’ was what life was about.
