Obituaries 1-25-11 Joseph Lawrence Sears, Jr.BRANDON - Joseph Lawrence Sears, Jr., age 71, died December 28, 2010, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. Mr. Sears was born in Brandon on April 6, 1939. He was the son of Joseph L. and Nellie (Butler) Sears, Sr. He received his education in local Brandon Schools. In earlier years he was employed by Omya. He later worked in the kitchen at Ponderosa Steak House in Rutland. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving are several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife Clara Blackmer Sears. The graveside committal service and burial will take place, at a later date, in Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to; The Brandon Area Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Brandon, VT 05733. Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
