Michael Earl Lubinski

LEICESTER - Michael Earl Lubinski, age 64, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010; at the Rutland Regional Medical Center; following a brief hard fought battle with cancer.

    Mr. Lubinski was born in Middlebury on February 3, 1946. He was the son of Stanley and Shirley (LaRock) Lubinski. He was graduated from Otter Valley Union High School, class of 1964. Following graduation he joined the United States Air Force. He served in Viet Nam and was honorably discharged in 1969. Mike returned home and began a career with Moors Business Forms in Rutland that spanned more than 30 years. He afterwards joined the staff at Standard Register until illness forced his retirement in 2004. He belonged to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #648 in Rutland.

    Surviving is his wife Judy (Peedin) Lubinski of Leicester; whom he married in Smithfield, NC on November 20, 1969, his daughter Michelle Kenyon & her husband Darren of Cape Coral, FL, grandson Jayme Kenyon and granddaughter Danielle Kenyon, a brother Thomas Lubinski & his wife Lynn of Bomoseen and his sister JoAnne Lubinski of Rutland. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family in North Carolina also survive him.

    The graveside committal service and burial, with military honors, will take place on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 10 AM, in the family lot, at Brookside Cemetery in Leicester. Gary Stanley, a family friend will officiate. There are no public calling hours.

    Memorial gifts in lieu of flowers may be made, in his memory to The Palliative Care Program at Rutland Regional Medical Center, 160 Allen Street, Rutland, VT 05701, or The Addison County Home Health & Hospice, P.O. 754, Middlebury, VT 05753.

    Arrangements are under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
