Tigers Off To 2-0 Start
Middlebury Senior Leadership Shines

Tuesday September 14, 2010

Tiger Coach Dennis Smith has several reasons to be optimistic. This year’s Tiger Football Team has hit the road twice  and  captured two impressive wins.

After stopping Lyndon institute’s comeback bid and ultimately winning a hard fought contest in the Kingdom, the Tigers headed to Fair Haven.

Leading the way at Fair Haven Friday Sept. 10th, the Tiger’s Marshall Hastings ran for two touch downs and threw an option pass for another score to set the pace. When the dust settled the Tigers came away with a  32-13 victory . the bright spot for Fair haven came from their  quarter back, Robert Coloutti, who scored a touch down on a one yard run and passed on another giving Fair Haven a 13-12 lead just before half time.  In the second half  Middlebury’s defense took over and shut the door on Fair Haven’s offense. This enabled Middlebury to walk away with a 32-13 win.

The Tiger are 2-0 in Division II and are looking forward to their next battle with Mount Mansfield Union at Doc Collins Field in Middlebury on Friday, Sept. 17, 2010
