Ferry Service Set to Begin at Bridge

Free 24x7 Ferry Service provided the Lake Champlain Transportation Corporation near the site of the recently demolished Champlain Bridge was not running at press time, Sunday January 31st 2010, but officials hoped to be able to transport vehicles across the channel by Monday.  Construction workers have been faced with another freeze-up in the past several days but the project appeared to be on schedule.  It will not be soon enough for the people who have endured the closing and demolition of the bridge.
